I believe the accused is already guilty of murder in Louisiana.

It's the future of the United States. Which means it's not workable frankly. You have to have a citizenry that actually believes in the system and is willing to make a bit of sacrifice for it to make it work.
Instead we are going to have a situation where people are loyal to their own identity groups, which are inevitably going to be racial, at least most of them.
I'd dearly love to see an analysis of the results of jury trials, based on the ethnicity of the defendants and the makeup of the jury.
In particular I'd like to know the conviction rate of a black defendant in a case involving a white victim, with a majority black jury.
My hunch is that it will be a shocking number. Of course if we have any legal eagles here, well you can pull some data and tell me I am FOS.

I didn't think they had the trial in LA. They just shipped him to MS after he pled not guilty in LA.

I would have more in common with a black, Asian, Russian, Muslim or any other group of my general economic class than I would with a trailer park trash who knows what time and a half but has never gotten a quarterly bonus and is the same race as me.
People align in strange ways. Seems like you think skin color determines...what?

Future tense? It's already this way and it didn't recently become this way. Considering the history and demographics of the US, I find it very very unlikely that it will ever be different here. That shouldn't have mattered too much, considering the structure of the republic. But now, instead of several independent states tied together loosely by a small fed, its a giant fed consisting of vassal states and territories completely beholden to it. This current structure is not well suited for the diversity of demographics and cultures within it. In fact, it's making quirky differences into politically hardline issues that has and will continue to produce violent conflicts. Everyone is fighting over the big stick that is the federal power center.
Secession and passive resistance to the fed is the only path to a more amicable society in which the many subgroups can operate independently and with minimal conflict.
Of course everyone will deny this, because they've been taught that somehow a skycloth is going to unite these groups into a single state under one central political structure. Which is not going to happen. Now, or ever.

You libbies always say stuff like this but what are your chances of getting shot walking around at night in a trailer park vs north Baton Rouge vs a sharia zone in Michigan or London?
Give me the white people 100% of the time

What's really scary is that you are safer in a sharia zone than North Baton Rouge. Or Detroit, or Birmingham, or Memphis, or...
What has Europe freaked out, the rapes, the terror killings, the people with axes, even -
Doesn't hold a candle to what the US calls NORMAL.
Think about that. You have to find a place with deeply entrenched drug gangs fighting for total control to get numbers that surpass ours. And with that, one side wins for a while, and things go back to a normal that is less violent than ours. Till next time at least.

If you were black, you'd pick the trailer park.

Are you serious Clark?
Michigan and London Muslim dense areas are mostly high economic groups. The poor Muslims in the U.K. are drifting towards Wales. Do you have any clue how expensive London is?
Trailer trash from baton rouge are far more likely to be violent.
But you don't want reality I guess.

Indeed. The DNC National Convention was awkward as hell with all their identity politics.

Btw, I think there is plenty of reasonable doubt.

They were told it had to be a unanimous decision. They didn't know the definition of "unanimous."
Seriously.
Seriously.

Because the average citizen in the US is completely clueless about basic civic responsibility. It's why this country is the shitshow it is.

Note to all DA’s in America, circumstantial evidence doesn’t fly with most juries in this day in age. They take that reasonable doubt thing seriously.
