Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' wealth increases by $275 million every single day. Meanwhile, Amazon workers have to rely on food stamps and public assistance just to survive. This is what a rigged economy is all about.

someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but does Amazon have any positions that are paid minimum wage?

And Bezos' was raised by a single-mom who was on public assistance for a portion of his childhood.

Amazing concept that someone was able to rise from poverty to the wealthiest individual in the world. Thanks to capitalism.

Without Bezos, those people would need more food stamps and government aid.

Your move, Comrade Bernie.

Bernie is actually correct. It is ridiculous that Amazon is making so much lira and they pay their employees relatively poorly AND they don't any federal income tax.

But other than the tax issue, what does that have to do with the government?

Yeah I'm calling BS on this tweet.

Bezos is not adding around $100B to his net worth every year.

Amazon Glassdoor

Amazon starts at $13/hour ($2080.00/month)...that's just shy of $30K/year. The gross monthly income to be eligible for SNAP is $1,287.

The beauty of capitalism is that employment is a mutual agreement. If an employee feels he’s not earning what he’s worth, he can quit and get hired by the company that is willing to pay him what he thinks he’s worth. If no other employer will pay him what he thinks he’s worth, then he overvalued himself.
