President Rodman?

The thought of Dennis Rodman having potential control of nuclear weapons is highly disturbing.

Naw, Kim is just playing with a new toy. Would love to be able to read the mind of the guy standing there.

By the way, that goo is lubricant.

I hope he's well. It would be ashamed to lose the world's only person addicted to Swiss cheese.

It's absolutely mind boggling that in 2014 the world would allow a people to be oppressed that way

Because no one wants to own NK after taking it over. You'd pretty much have to recreate the '50s with them and then move forward.

Depends on how/if NK crumbles

If it implodes or collapses in on itself, that's REALLY bad

If NK is tryig to broker some sort of peace with SK and work towards unification, it won't be as bad.

Where it gets weird, is what role China plays

I refuse to believe that factory is ANYWHERE near that clean on any other day of the year.

In fact, I refuse to believe that is a factory at all. It is a set that is cut off immediately outside of the image. NO lubricant factory ANYWHERE is that spiffy clean, especially at the nozzle extruding the goop. There's always nasty dirt contaminated dried up lube everywhere.

I see what you're saying but I'm not sure it matters.

SK doesn't want NK; they only want the relatives of their citizens to get back with the relatives in NK.

IMO, IF something happened and NK imploded/exploded/something else, China ends up owning NK and they know it. China is trying to keep that from happening.

I completely disagree

I think everyone wants a unified Korean peninsula

I don't think SK wants to see NK crumble and THEN have to deal with that.

I think they probably want to see economic and social liberalization and then assimilation over time

NK has already crumbled.

NK has 25 million people that SK would have to feed and support.

There's no way to stop it without bombing the entire country into oblivion. The entire country is brainwashed.

This is constantly on my mind. I've always maintained that world has a self-policing element to it, but it's gotten fuzzy over the last decade or so simply because it pays too much attention to the PC crowd. When it used to take weeks to get to the other side of the world, it put us (the U.S.) in a relatively ineffective position. Political ideologies used to be safely insulated by oceans, rivers and mountains, and rogue leaders would dare the rest of the world to "catch me if you can". But the world has gotten a lot smaller, and the ability to respond has dramatically changed in terms of time, distance and resources, and thereby so has our (U.S. and allies) sociopolitical obligation to the poor saps trapped in these hell-holes.

My favorite analogy is the Little Old Lady being mugged across the street. Do you need permission to help her? When did the definition of Imminent Danger change?

FWIW, I think Kim Jong Un has a 9mm headache.
