This doc should be shot in the face for stupidity.... So youre less than two weeks back from helping Ebola patients, you begin feeling sluggish and ill, albeit without a major fever, and you still choose to take the subways, go bowling, and take an uber car back home. frick this stupid piece of shite.

Seriously though, doctors who treat Ebola patients shouldn't be allowed to treat others.

It said in the article that he had not been back to work since he arrived home.

Agreed.

In general, people are selfish and TOO optimistic about their own health. It should not be left to themselves to decide. If you choose (or get sent) into the 'hot zone'....compulsory quarantine. No choice, no "self isolation".

I am NOT freaking out over this. But, it is silly to not have protocols in place that is NOT "self directed"

I heard on tv news today that all passengers now coming from the three infected countries will now be observed for 21 days after arriving here. This is the part that blew my mind though (if I heard right). The passengers will be given a thermometer and told to take their temp twice a day and to report any ailments that might arise.

I hope to high heaven that there is more to the story than what I just said.

The NY Times article says that by the time he went to the hospital his temp was 103.

Why that makes sense. If there is no fever you are not contagious and can do what you want. If you have a temp report it and get your arse in isolation ASAP.

Spencer took the subway from Harlem to Brooklyn to bowl at The Gutter on N. 14th street before taking an Uber taxi to Brooklyn Bowl on Wythe Avenue.

The Gutter was closed on Thursday, with a promoter saying that the bar area, where a concert was supposed to be held wasn’t opening due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

Goodnight Records confirmed on Twitter that CMJ show was canceled, and that it was looking for alternative venues.

Cases popping up in New York eventually was inevitable. Surprised it took this long honestly.
