Here's the full relevant text from the textbook, "The Americans", which I am absolutely certain the OP didn't even think
about looking up himself because that would take effort
The first eight amendments spell out the personal liberties the states had requested. The First Amendment guarantees citizens’ rights to freedom of religion, speech, the press, and political activity. According to the Second and Third Amendments, the government cannot deny citizens the right to bear arms as members of a militia of citizen-soldiers, nor can the government house troops in private homes in peacetime.
Do you see the bold underlined part? Its pretty clear to all but the mathematically challenged that the textbook is referring to the 2nd amendment - being part of the first 8 - as protecting a PERSONAL liberty. Given that context, its abundantly clear that " a militia of citizen-soldiers" includes every single one of us. This is consistent with the Founder's belief.
This is on page 70, BTW. I noticed neither you nor the moronic blogger you linked to bothered to let us in on that information - its almost as if the blogger didn't want anyone to check his claims out! Imagine that!!!
Tell you what, I'll make it even easier for you and provide a direct link. LINK
Just to reiterate, the book says:
The first eight amendments spell out the personal liberties the states had requested.
As for Bryant Middle School who gives a frick? There are shitty teachers everywhere, that's what you get when you pay teachers shite.
