Colorado governor pardons felon to stave off deportation to Cuba

quote:

Colorado’s governor issued a controversial pardon Friday to stop the deportation of a convicted armed robber to Cuba but the district attorney whose office prosecuted the man questions its validity.

Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, says that with the pardon he has done everything he can to keep Rene Lima-Marin, 38, in the U.S.

They should deport his stupid arse.

People have lost their fricking minds. Laws don't matter anymore. It's just what I want or believe.

And this is why all liberals should be deported. They don't represent Americans, and definitely not the law...

I don't get it.

Are they true believers over law? Playing to the wailing of their base by grandstanding?

"I've done everything I could to keep him in this country!"

Well, then you should be recalled.

"Dreamers/rapists/robbers" staying in this country is the highest priority over law?

Do we need more Willie Horton commercials?

Seems like there is...

Lima-Marin was sentenced to 98 years in prison for the robbery. But he was mistakenly paroled from Colorado state prison in 2008.

Lima-Marin married, had a child and got a steady job installing glass before state authorities realized their mistake in 2014 and sent him back for the remainder of his 98-year prison sentence.

So he needs to serve the rest of his sentence or be deported. Seems to me that he would be happy to be deported.

Guy was mistakenly paroled in 08 and has been a productive member of society since. He has a wife and child he supports. The residents of Colorado are not better off with this guy being in a prison cell or deported.

Keep your small government big prison shite down south.

Remember when Gorsuch was being interviewed by Congress. Kamala Harris said she would vote against Gorsuch because he "valued law above justice for all American's."

Obama administration sued the state of Arizona to STOP them from enforcing immigration law.

Trust me, the Democrats don't give a rip about the law.

okay forget the immigration if you on this one. What in the actual frick? Seems to me the state should only get one bite at the Apple. If the state fricks up and lets you out then you're out

How is Colorado better off if he is not deported? He is a damn illegal isn't he? What about all of those people who have waited in line for years to immigrate and they have followed the law. I guess you people just say screw them.

Because we aren't paying for his family to live and having a child raised without their father. We don't care about deporting any of em. We have a really low unemployment rate here and need the workforce.

He was mistakenly paroled? Oh, well never mind. That's a great reason to forgive a 98 year sentence. It makes all the sense in the world now.
