I assume that Trump is still eligible as a write in candidate?

The wonky way that they conditionally self-stayed their own ruling, I think he will remain on the standard ballot.

No. The ruling specifically instructed that no write-in ballots for Trump would be counted.

This would be like banning a guy because he "murdered" a guy in a driving accident where no charges were brought against him. It's bullshite and is bypassing due process.
There really needs to be recourse against rogue judges that step outside the lines of the law like this. This Supreme Court should all be disbarred and thrown off with no retirement involved for them from their time there.

They did this probably so that it can’t be appealed. I would guess that they want to remove his name from ball and then say there is not enough time to get him back on the ballot.

The purpose of the justice system is to resolve disputes not to pontificate on politics.
This is politics disguised as a judgement and it looks a lot like a violation of the Judicial Cannons.

The democrats want to protect Democracy by only allowing people to vote for "democrat approved" candidates. Seems the democrats view democracy as safe only with democrats in charge.
I read that they not only want Trump off the ballot, but want to prevent write-in as well.

Colorado's claim is he is not legally eligable to run for office. So if he's not elegiable, then he can't win with a write-in.
However, I wonder what the law actually says. Does it say "to run" (which would only mean he cannot be on the ballot buyt can still hold the elected position by write-in) or does the wording have to do with being elected?
