Are you reprimanded or looked down upon if you don't bow your head or take part in the prayer?

Full staff meeting today, over 100 of us in our conference room. Started the meeting as always.....with a prayer and then one of our veteran's led the pledge. Young AA who works in our warehouse never got out of his seat. His super is a former Clemson football player (also AA) and was standing directly behind him.

By the way, we're located in a very small South Carolina town. This was my first experience with the "protesters".

I was much angrier than I thought I would be.

You're butt hurt because some guy refused to stand for the pledge of allegiance....da frick kinda work place recites the pledge and a prayer before the start of a meeting?

He most likely just wanted to irritate someone, so mission accomplished, I guess.

If our work crew was told we have to pray and pledge before our shift, it would be met with laughter and bellows of frick That

Am I the only one troubled by the pledge's socialist and anti-capitalist roots?

Again, a place whose business is built on people who believe in God, country and family.

Are you worried you're not being subjected to any dissenting opinions out of fear of reprimand?
