Teen Vogue had an article a few months back imploring teens to have anal sex..."that it was natural" and "not everybody likes vaginal sex, including most teens and LGBT people" that it's "completely natural" and "being exposed to fecal matter is natural because everyone poops."

I disagree with this. I think that kids should be taught the dangers of sex, but also realize they're stupid horny teenagers and that they're likely going to inevitably fail in this battle. They need to be armed with the knowledge when they likely fail at abstinence.

I also think that kids should be taught about how unmarried pregnancy can ruin lives and shame any boy who impregnates a woman and abandons them. Aside from criminal behavior (which while this isn't officially I pretty much look at it as such) abandoning your child is the shittiest thing a man can do (save for giving it to loving parents and you never see your child again). In sex education this should be more reenforced about the man's responsibility in their child's life.

anal sex is a primary driver in STD transmission, which is why gay males suffer severely disproportionate rates of HIV/AIDS

if we're having a discussion about anal sex, that has to be included (i did not read the teen vogue piece but i assume that wasn't in there)

CNN, the liberals, etc sure the hell are some perverted individuals. Just split off and form your own schools, government or whatever.

How did I learn about sex? The old fashioned way. Bathroom wall illustrations.

I saw my first one when I was 6 or 7 and for several year thought babies were made via anal sex.

And you know what, they should be. Anal sex only has one benefit for teens and its the lack of pregnancy. Other than that, it's easier to pass on STDs. They should be taught to put on a condom if they have anal sex.

That's your job...it's parental responsiblity...not Lisaa Ling, unless she wants to demo it

I wish it was parental responsibility, but the problem is we have irresponsible parents who won't tell these kids these things and don't give a single frick. Personally I want to have kids of fricked up parents educated on what teenage pregnancies and STDs can do to your life. The average age of losing your virginity is 18, which means that half of them are lower than that. You nip out teenagers giving birth and letting the cycle continue, then you would largely eliminate crime in this country.

There wasn't a single paragraph about the dangers of anal sex.

It was all about glorification and the pleasures it brings. They downplay any stigmitization.

Anal sex, though often stigmatized, is a perfectly natural way to engage in sexual activity.

All they talk about is consent:

Enthusiastic consent is necessary for both parties to enjoy the experience.

Then the author talks about lube, poop and condoms. That's the extent. One line about wearing a condom.

But they don't bring up any scientific data on disease but constantly say anal sex is just as safe and natural as vaginal sex.

Yeah, because as the South has shown, abstinence education really helps. Look at the Mississippi Delta. What a triumphant success.

Feel free to point out any success in the Mississippi Delta. Any success whatsoever.

Not a fan of teaching kids abstinence only, but to use the Mississippi Delta as a club against having it as part of the kids education is disingenuous at best, and much closer to utter bullshite. By that logic, we might as well not teach English in the Mississippi Delta either.

There was no joke there, dickhead. Somebody posts that educating on anal sex is an indicator of degeneracy, and you flog him with abstinence education in the Mississippi Delta.

I wasn't taught shite but "wait until marriage" in my school. This shite was spread out through the state. Maybe they've started some form of sexual education since I graduated a decade ago, but it sure as shite wasn't there when I was.

Only in such a degenerate society as ours are 13 years even thinking anal sex. The larger issue is just how perverse how country has become.

I'm glad you jumped in with the correct response.

1. If you grew up in the Mississippi Delta, you probably weren't taught shite, period.

2. I can't be sure, but I almost have to call bullshite on this anyway. I can't imagine that "wait until marriage" was the extent of your sex education from 2004-2007. If so, I feel sorry for you, and see #1 above.

3. I grew up in Arkansas, in the bible beltiest part of Arkansas, graduated in 1988 when the moral majority was running shite nationwide, and was afforded a much more in depth sex education than you apparently were.

To be fair we down here are an anomaly to everything. Just let us be, we have our own uniquely degenerate culture

Thank God I did not. It's just a safe assumption anything I wasn't taught, they most certainly weren't.

I mean, I personally was due to my parents. But I highly doubt many of my classmates were.

Whoa now, are you saying that isn't true?

It's been a long time since I've been a teenager and my son still shits his diaper...but (and maybe I'm that ignorant) I couldn't imagine a 13 year old boy knowing that anal sex is an option.

Do you mean that you don't think 13 yo boys are aware of anal sex?
