The media are trying to choose the next president of the USA. Why not. They chose the last one.
Is this the part where we hear how the media plays up the moderate candidate early on like in 2008 and 2012 so that he gets the nomination and ultimately loses? With all this coverage of scandal on the leading moderate candidate, the media is really sucking at choosing the moderate candidate.

You don't quite understand the method. They want a weak moderate candidate. Two polls have Christie beating Hillary. That scares the media. They would prefer someone like Huntsman whose poll numbers stay safely in single digits.

I'd love to see the in depth coverage of Obama's political motivations behind the selective NPS closures during the "shutdown."

I see.
If this is so, wouldn't the media have pushed this before his last election when this story broke to prevent his landslide?
Because previously, esp during his last election, righties were saying the media were pushing Christie like they pushed Romney and McCain. But the media I suppose did such a good job, now they have to take him down a few notches?
You know, you're crazy.

The Hillary polls happened after his re-election. It was just about a month ago. One was Gallup. Can't remember the rest. It caused quite a stir with the MSM.

No. I just keep up with politics and media a LOT more than you do.

The media uses moderate republicans to juxtapose against conservative republicans in order to portray the conservatives as loons.
IE, McCain v. Gingrich in the 90s. McCain = reasonable. Gingrich = Bat shite Crazy. They didn't really like McCain but he was useful for them to demonize the right.

quote:Sure, in the sense that they'd say Mussolini wasn't as bad as Hitler. But I've never seen the media give positive coverage to a conservative candidate. It's more along the lines of "This disgusting piece of trash isn't as bad as that disgusting piece of trash because that disgusting piece of trash is not only corrupt and immoral, he's also insane."

What is it again you think your silly graph proves?

Of course, the Media Research Center only went back six months. Had it gone back eight months — to the actual revelation of the IRS' targeting — the figures would be very different. In May and June of 2013, the IRS situation was mentioned online about 135,000 times. About 1,000 of those hits were from FoxNews.com.
