Liberals have been pushing the GLBT Lifestyle on everyone as 'the norm', except it isn't to many Americans, especially those who have a religious objection to it.

It isn't enough that we accept that they have a right to do whatever they want to do.

What they don't have a right to do is DEMAND that we participate.

Those religious beliefs - and the practice of them - are actually PROTECTED by the Constitution:

"The Free Exercise Clause is the accompanying clause with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause together read:

“ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

Christian Artists Could Be Fined, Jailed for Refusing to Make Same-Sex Wedding Invitations

quote:

'Two Arizona Christian artists face the possibility of being jailed, in addition to being fined, after they recently refused to make invitations for a same-sex wedding.'

Just like I insinuated in the LeBron thread.

Don't like some business; don't give it business.

The government should let the market decide, not artifical prop up or, in this case, shut down a business.

I love the cognitive dissonance when the lefties defend the person not wanting to dress Melania yet they want bakers and now artists to serve gays. Such bullshite. No one should have to serve anyone for any reason. Period. Title 2 and Title 7 of the Civil Rights Act are beyond stupid.

Though i think it's a really stupid business practice to disinclude anyone, when your trade is wedding invitations, i dont like that anyone would be fined for refusing.

I will say this is shitty journalism. No details about the statutes nor the people.

Based on your previous posts, I've assumed you are a Democrat. If so, you vote for the literal political embodiment of the opposite that stance.

I could be wrong though. You may be a non-Trump conservative. If so, I rescind my previous statement and applaud your good judgement.

Can't keep up with who believes what on here.

Nope.

I've never knowingly voted for anybody that supports this stance, and in hindsight, I don't think they ended up support it either.

Tenants want Trumps name removed from buildings, Lebron says he won't stay at a Trump hotel, the designer won't provide a Melania a gown, but you Christians dang sure better print the wedding invitations for the gay couple.

Classic liberal projection....staple of their belief system.

Would I ask an Muslim person who owned a catering business to serve bacon and sausage at my event?

Probably, but at least I wouldn't get all pissy if he refused my business.

ETA: Meanwhile, I'm sure the left would be raking ME over the coals for asking him to serve something against his religion.

We need to get some more Conservative justices in there to shut down this nonsense. Let people have religious convictions.

Sounds good in theory, but there are laws already forcing businesses to serve people that they might not have in the past (such as in the south pre 1960). Do you think a bunch of white people who didn't want to serve black people, for example, would have ANY success at all trying to challenge the Civil Rights Act in court?

Even though I agree that these women should be left alone, I am afraid that there is precedent in America already that forces businesses in doing things they might not want to do. This isn't going to change. You must serve gay people even if it's against your religious convictions.

They should just say their Muslim faith prohibits it.

Anytime this happens we need to target muslims with the same scenario.

Easiest way to stop this nonsense

What I find stupid is them just nodding and go.

"Well, thank you but I am sorry to say we are completely booked and will not be able to do your invitation on time."

No need to make it a public spectacle.

I couldn't give a shite about religious convictions... I say let a damned individual make up their own damned mind now matter why the reason.

If I don't want to serve guys at my restaurant who drive Cadalic Escalades because my ex left me for a a guy that drives one, then that should be my right.

If I don't want to let gingers into my paintball arena because they "look creepy" then that should be my right.

As long as I'm not providing a directly government subsidized service (electricity, water, whathaveyou) then I should be allowed to do whatever the frick I want. My reason for doing it (religion, spite, sexism, plain stupidity) shouldn't even enter into the conversation.

This is not surprising to those who have paid attention.

This has always been the end game for the gay movement

Sounds good in theory, but..

but what? His opinion is that someone should not be forced to provide services to another person. What in the hell does this have to do with the 1960's?
