ust comply with the stupid law, demand the payment up front, have a contract that spells out the artistic license is in control of the calligrapher. Then prominently print on the invitations "Leviticus 18:22".

Or just misspell the names and put the wrong date on them. they may make you do it but they cannot force you to not make "mistakes"

I don't give a crap about some wedding invitations. Sounds like people (the gays) trying to start some shite. Screw that.

But to cloak your business practices on first amendment religious expression grounds is also ridiculous.

Seems like grandstanding by both sides. Pathetic.

It's not the norm, science and nature prove that. I'm not saying they should have the same rights as any other human but they are genetic abnormalities.

To pretend anything else is being willfully ignorant.

The gay wedding cake uproar amused the heck out of me. The last thing I would ever do is force someone to make me an edible item when I know they don't want to do so.

So businesses do not have 1st Amendment rights? How does the Supreme Court feel about your assertion?

Charge them double, make them one that tastes like cow manure and refuse to refund their money.

Why do you hate religious freedom and the free market?

Do you actually believe there aren't a vast majority of business that will be more that happy to take a gay couple's money? Why must you consistently take the side of forcing your will upon people who out of pure religious objection, refuse to contribute to gay marriage? Is what you want really more important than their soul?

Would I ask an Muslim person who owned a catering business to serve bacon and sausage at my event?

As far as this law is concerned, this is a different scenario since the caterer doesn't serve bacon/sausage to any of his clients. It's not part of his business offering, therefore he isn't denying you anything.

(I'm not a fan of laws like these, but the OP is a snowflake victim lie.)
