He would have been awesome in Germany 1930-40s

You have every right to disobey unlawful orders.

do you really want a world where Congress is getting involved in the chain of command

I mean...it's happened multiple times in multiple conflicts in our history. Most famously it happened during the Civil War when radicals in Congress set up the Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War. More than one officer saw their careers destroyed by that congressional body and a few were even thrown in prison for what the Committee saw as gross incompetence.

They are telling you they are profiting off the shot.

It’s sickening.

I despise Cassidy and against the mandate but he’s absolutely right in this case. I was required to get flu shot and other vaccines. If I didn’t, I was disciplined. I don’t want congress interfering in chain of command.

And no, this wasn’t an unlawful order.

I’ve never thought of publicly berating someone, but if I ever saw him in public I’d call him out for being the traitor he is.

Is there any way LA can get rid of him?

The way Exemptions were handled is an issue that rarely gets scrutiny too. People judging ones religious beliefs seems off, especially in a society where those judging seem to say it's ok for a child to decide his sex willy nilly.

Oh, I think it did; I think that's one of the reasons why the judge issued the injunction. If you're claiming to consider religious exemptions but have 100% rejection rate then you're lying. They tried to get smart later in the process and start letting a few trickle through so it would look legit, but it just looked like exactly what it was.

Even chaplains had standing orders to try to talk people out of using a religious exemption. It's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen out of our military.

Kinda. But, Cassidy played conservative his first term. I suspect this is the last term he wants to serve and will be moderate the entire time, his true colors. He wouldn't win reelection.

Dude just got reelected so probably in his last term (thru 2027) and going out with a bang showing his true colors. Question should be how a state like LA votes in a "former" Democrat from Illinois.

We really need to do better at weeding out these Dems that turn Repub for the sake of saving their gravy train.

So a communist in the military tells the soldiers to gun down every white male in the US. Should they just do what he/him/she/her/it says?

You absolutely do. These were lawful orders though. You don’t like the orders, but they are absolutely lawful.

True, scrunity by a judge when faced with the comparison as you laid out. My point was more about how it rarely is talked about in general. It was a major issue throughout all parts of society...private and govt sector.

We need this cleared up for the future, as we can no longer depend on just saying "Constitution".
