Or is it only a one-time deal?

If not. Why don't hey just say f- it and go nuclear? Put a safety net in there to protect ourselves from globalism.

They won't have to do so. After 2018 Republicans will control 60 senate seats.

From what I was reading it seems they can do it whenever they want however many times they want.

Neither party really wants to do it because it sets precedent to do it all the time.

I think of it as dudes in a parking lot taking their shirts off before fighting.

I do think the filibuster, cloture, and nuclear options are interesting though.

You've seen some other country's parliament throwing shoes, or slapping each other across the face. This is the U.S. version of that

This.

Also, invoking the nuclear option would mean they would have to tell the Dems to frick off all of the time, and have to actually work on bills and shite.

In short, they wouldn't do it anyway, because they are all lazy pussies.

Drain the swamp.

Yep. I think I saw footage of Mcconell telling the Dems a few years back if they went with the option, that'd they would be sorry because it would get done to them the next go around.

The Dems just thought that they'd be in control for years and years.

As long as felons still can't legally own firearms, I'm right there with ya

Or that the Rinos would give them a pass when they weren't. Funny how short sighted that was on both fronts. I think the Rinos would still give them a pass if not for Trump.

as long as we have 51 votes, we should do it

my guess is this helps us in red states with obstructionist democrats running for the Senate in '18

Won't be necessary. The threat of going nuclear is about as good. Liberal Senators from Trump states won't have much choice but to go along so they can get reelected.

Well, here's the thing. Once it's done, you set that precedent. The dems started it with Obama's padding the legal system with liberal judges, and now they're paying for it when we do the same.

If we open that can of worms, it'll be thrown right back in our faces the moment we don't hold a simple majority.
