The dems have to defend senate seats in:

PA
OH
WI
MN
ND
MT
MO
WV
VA
FL

They could defiantly lose eight of those. The dem base doesn't show up for mid-terms.

Depends a lot on what Trump and the GOP do in 2017.

Based on history the GOP should lose seats. That didn't happen in 2002, but I doubt they get as many as 8 if things actually go well.

They absolutely can. The question is whether they will.

They should have lost seats in 2016. 2018 is going to be really hard for Democrats...defending a lot of seats in states that Trump won.

Depends on how bigly Trump is winning. If things are going well, the Senate Republican wins will be huuuuuuuge.

Manchin may flip to GOP on his own in WV. That was a real concern for the democrats evenif Killary would have won and the Senate was split 50/50.

Would be the best thing he could do in that state.

InFlorida, Bill Nelson is really unpopular. I think that FL Attirney General Pam Bondi might challenge for the seat. She may also run for Governor. I think she could win either.

PA won't be easy. Casey is the son of a popular governor and is conservative on social issues. But PA was always fool's gold in the presidential election before MAGA so anything can happen.

MO just needs a Republican with a room temperature IQ or higher. McCaskill is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with Washington.
