I do know that white supremacists tend to be white nationalists, in that they want a nation-state distinct from the US. I don't know any white supremacists or white nationalists so academic descriptions are the best you are going to get.

You're playing right into the left's hands when you conflate the two. Merging white nationalism with white supremacy is the left's attempt to marginalize nationalists. If they can get people like you to believe that all white nationalists are racists they don't have to worry about minorities joining the nationalist movement. It's a left-wing ploy and you're eating it up.

Both white nationalism and white supremacy are shitty.
They aren't completely the same thing, but they're shitty enough to dismiss both out of hand, and not be particularly upset when one of them gets hit in the mouth.
I'm largely against violence, but not to the point of stupidity.

Oh, that is the preference, but they're starting a new division. The first position I'm offered, I'm taking with them. There's one here in Dallas as well, but they have been honest they have an internal candidate in mind. Got an email today saying that there's a big chance he won't take the position since they offered it to him. Feeling pretty good about that since they said they'd bring me back in for another round if he doesn't accept.

I've had the opportunity to go to numerous Ivy League schools for various conferences and New Haven was by far the shittiest city I went to. It was unbelievably shitty.

Yeah, I've lived in Philly before. I've also lived in Midland and McAllen, which are the biggest shitholes in the country. New Haven is an hour train ride from NYC, to where I'll make due. Also living in New Haven itself is debatable from what they've told me. It's just what they have in mind.

I know some peeps at Yale and lots of them live in NYC. If you can do that then do that. Otherwise get to Colorado.

I do like debates though. Nothing makes me feel more alive (which is why I'm fairly combative on here). In retrospect should have gotten in political commentary, although I wasn't really passionate about it in college.
