Uhh, they can't charge based upon the results of a third party autopsy paid for by the victim's family, can they? No way that can hold up, is there?

no way. I think this is going to get worse before it gets better. I think just enough witnesses are going to come forward to corroborate the cops story that Brown rushed him (the autopsy support it too) which justifies lethal force after the assult, and no charges will be brought, and rioting will reach a dangerous level.

We're probably a week or three from it.

Performed in a funeral home office, after embalming/cleaning of the body had been conducted.

The palm wound was more of an incisional wound, a deep graze. It would be sustained with the palm/hand in plane with the bullet trajectory, not perpendicular to it.

Thanks. I didn't realize the thumb wound was a graze, so that makes more sense that he was running.

Is this true? Is there a link or quote? Would like to read if so.

Baden said he performed the autopsy at a local funeral home after Brown’s body had been embalmed, so he was unable to collect blood samples for toxicology screening -- something that was done during the initial autopsy by the St. Louis County medical examiner.

With most of the talk on here appearing that Brown was running I thought I would share this quote from a Time.com article ( LINK)

quote:

The autopsy also appears to verify eyewitness accounts of the shooting, according to attorneys and Baden, and suggests that Brown may have been shot while trying to surrender to the officer. “Why would he be shot in the very top of his head?” asked Daryl Parks, another attorney for the Brown family. “A 6’4? man? It makes no sense.”

Again, you cannot be serious. Are you trying to make the results fit some preconceived narrative?

Maybe that was the last shot as he was falling forward or he was looking downward to assess his own injuries.

the cop didnt start firing until Brown started charging him.

Likely he thought the cop did not have the fortitude to take the shot.

You can see from the theft video that he had a lot of confidence in his size and ability to intimidate people.

My apologies. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that when you stated, "Most people running for their lives will have their arms flinging around at all sorts of angles", that you had some sort of reference to go by. I have seen people run for their lives. We have all seen it in well documented footage in the streets of NY as the twin towers collapsed. The well documented fact is "Most people" do not run with "their arms flinging around at all sorts of angles". The only place we see this depicted is in cartoons and bad movies. So I clearly erred in speculating on the basis for your remarks. I'm now convinced you pulled it completely and whole-heartily out of your 300 pound arse.

well done, sire - well done, indeed.

That is how I see it too, from my post in another thread:
