Just asked a former senior administration official who would be in a position to know about such a thing and they had absolutely no idea what this report is talking about

Please explain the look? National secrets is a term found in the Espionage Act which dates to WWI. Classified documents started with Truman. Clearly they are not the same thing. There will commonly be overlap, but they do not have to overlap. Please explain what I’m missing.

A president cannot violate the Espionage Act. He can declassify anything he wants.

That’s the weakest fricking defense for breaking the law I’ve heard in a while. Good lord.

What's freaking weak is progs and deep state henchmen believing they can re-classify the previously de-classified materials to TRUMP up a bunch of bogus charges to prevent DJT from seeking re-election.
He can't keep getting away with it!!!!

Biden’s gonna have the toughest time answering questions on this matter.
And it’s pretty obvious he was “told” to take nice vacation right about now.

Biden isn’t going to answer anything about this. They will put him back in the basement or go to another vacation spot until this blows over.

I love the mental gymnastics of Trump lovers to defend him. Either he took classified documents that are highly sensitive or he declassified nuclear documents that plain shouldn't be declassified.

Do you simply have no reading comprehension skills? As I’ve already said, the Espionage Act predates classifying of documents by 30 years. It deals with what are state secrets not classified information. They don’t have to be the same.

Give us an example of something that is considered a national secret but is also available to the public (aka declassified).

What the hell you getting pissy about? I have already admitted I have zero clue if a crime was committed which is true of all of us. If I had to guess, there will be no charges. Most likely, it will come down to intent as it did with Hillary. We’ll see though.

All I’ve been trying to do in this thread is show that getting hung up on whether or not the documents were declassified is probably taking your eye off the real issue given the codes that were cited on the warrant.

It's not defending him. No laws were broken. End of story.

Sounds like they are just looking for things. Kind of a no brainer. But never underestimate their ability to railroad anyone including a former President.

What this is about, and what the entire Trump Presidency was about, is whether the elected President is or isn't actually in charge of the federal bureaucracy.

Did the inventory receipt that has been leaked include any items that were specifically labeled "state secret?"
