Multiple gangs. Definitely a significant Eastern European/Russian presence. Some Islamic/Muslim gangs. Some are local townies.

Hard to tell, you can't do ethnic stats, but I would say a bit of everything but probably more from "outsiders".
With that said, gangs in France have nothing on the ones in the USA.

Historically the Corsican mafia has played a large role in France's homegrown gangs. The new gangs are made up of Mahgrebis and French Blacks, sometimes mixed and sometimes separate. France also has Italian, Russian, Balkan, and Turkish criminal organizations. There also some famous crime families in France that are Romani. I think the largest gang in Paris is Romani actually. The Hornec gang.

What is their "trade"? What do they mostly deal in? I thought drug laws are more relaxed in that part of the world. The gun market must be limited. There seems to be almost zero restrictions of immigration, etc.
