What a petty, spiteful, hateful group you all are.

Thus the rise in alternative options for both boys and girls. Camp Fire, Navigators USA, American Heritage Girls, etc.

Seems like,a great opportunity for an alternative group to step in and pick up those who aren't happy with the scouts decision

When I was younger I wanted my kids to do scouting, but PC (perverted culture) has taken over. I'll have to look for alternatives.

So let me make sure I have your reasoning down.

I'm guessing you presume one (or both) of the follow scenarios could come about because of this:

A) A girl wants badly enough to have the chance to sleep in a (supervised) boy's cabin on a Boyscouts trip for whatever (in your mind nefarious) reason so badly that she, and her parents, will enact a ruse in which she will pretend to identify as male so that she can get into the troop via this leeway. Or,

B) You think that a child, born biologically female but associating for all intents and purposes personally as male, if allowed to be a part of the boy scouts, is going to somehow cause such a problem on scout outings/events (which again, are supervised by adults) because of their biological gender (which they are probably incredibly insecure about and will go to great lengths to avoid making an issue of) that they will corrupt the point of the whole thing or distract the other scouts?

And you think the intractable terribleness of the above is going to be prevalent enough that instead the Scouts as an organization should shut down the ability of a child (whose lifestyle you can find abhorrent all you want) from accessing an outlet and experience which will make them feel normal and accepted and encouraged?

Is that close?

Not by a million miles! Quite frankly, I don't give a hoot what an kid wakes up feeling like. What I care about is the safety of the 99.9% of the kids who know who and what they are. As I said, if you don't care that a boy who 'identifies' as a girl is sleeping in your daughter's quarters, go ahead and feel very proud of your political correctness, but don't go suing the Boy Scouts when ugly things happen.
