Julian Assange told a U.S. congressman on Tuesday he can prove the leaked Democratic Party documents he published during last year’s election did not come from Russia and promised additional helpful information about the leaks in the near future.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican who is friendly to Russia and chairs an important House subcommittee on Eurasia policy, became the first American congressman to meet with Assange during a three-hour private gathering at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where the WikiLeaks founder has been holed up for years,

Rohrabacher recounted his conversation with Assange to The Hill.

“Our three-hour meeting covered a wide array of issues, including the WikiLeaks exposure of the DNC emails during last year's presidential election,” Rohrabacher said, “Julian emphatically stated that the Russians were not involved in the hacking or disclosure of those emails.
Pressed for more detail on the source of the documents, Rohrabacher said he had information to share privately with President Donald Trump.

“Julian also indicated that he is open to further discussions regarding specific information about the DNC email incident that is currently unknown to the public,” he added.

Hard to prove that someone didn't do something.

Also in this case the media is perfectly happy running with conspiracy theories instead of investigating their accuracy or consistency.

Whenever things get heated with Trumps balls to the wall something comes out. This, plus Obama spying, HRC indictments? The way the GOPe is acting disavowing a sitting President of their own party over media lies; I have a feeling it's yuge.

muh Russians disproven suspends Mueller completely. this could be why they are in panic mode.

Libs won't believe anything anyway if it helps Trump. It really doesn't matter if this is something or nothing. That's just where we are.

I believe the things that come from Hannity as much as believe the stuff that comes Rachael Maddow.

Not much difference in the two

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher,
Honestly, he's the only person whose name only seems to show up in conversations about Russia.

In fact, I heard an interview with this a person who was a friend of Magnitsky, and personally lobbied for the act. The only person who he was willing to say anything bad about was Rohrabacher.

So I sense that if there is a person in government who is most likely to support Russia, it's this guy.

The media's agenda is to be a mouthpiece for the ruling class. Assange's agenda is to expose the lies of governments and the powerful. Nobody can question the validity of Assange's leaks. That's why he's personally attacked as a traitor or a Russian spy by American worshippers of the centralized state.

It's pretty easy to prove if you can prove who did do it.

Look, Russia surely meddled in our elections but they were likely not the source of the leak. That would be a DNC staffer.

thehill article says this-- not Hannity. Hannity just retweeted it as one of the tick tocks coming down the pike.
