This is from his post attack interview:

quote:

"…I was very cautious in saying any opinion regarding him before he became President and after. I always say let’s see what he’s going to do, we wouldn’t comment on statements. So, actually, this is the first proof that it’s not about the President in the United State; it’s about the regime and the deep state or the deep regime in the United States is still the same, it doesn’t change. The President is only one of the performers on their theatre, if he wants to be a leader, he cannot, because as some say he wanted to be a leader, Trump wanted to be a leader, but every President there, if he wants to be a real leader, later he’s going to eat his words, swallow his pride if he has pride at all, and make a 180 degree U-turn, otherwise he would pay the price politically”.

Trump never reversed on any policies, he got inaugurated and realized he has no power over anything, and knew that unless he accepted his place as simply a figurehead or puppet, he would be destroyed by the deep state.

It's why every president has been exactly the same. There is no choice.

There is certainly some shadiness in the IC. Stuff like this makes it harder to find out what is really happening. Those of us with legitimate concern will get grouped in with this type of tin foil stuff. Somewhat frustrating.

This statement fits with Russia's obvious goal of undermining the public's trust in our political system.....Not to say there isn't some truth in his statement.

Do you think Assad is a decent person?

Don't give me the sliding scale better than ISIS line.

I think it is absolutely comical our involvement in the Middle East.

I literally side with Assad over our government on this.

It doesn't look like we'll pursue regime change in Syria, but if we do I am done with Trump. It would replace Bush's invasion of Iraq as the worst foreign policy decision in US History.

You're allowed to make mistakes, but this one would be a real beauty, let me tell you.

he's right. the way our election system is set up, one who wants to remain in office has to make decisions on behalf of his/her constituents. i.e. mitch Landrieu. but, so far.........trump is on track to not giving a frick about a 2nd term and I dig.

What the fuq? Seriously, you side with Assad? I mean okay you can be against the US ousting him, but that is quite different than siding with Assad.

You sound like a woman making excuses for why your man beats you. He was never on your side. You got played.

No he doesn't. He and others have never ever mentioned a "deep state" before.

The only reason he is now is because it's become a popular phrase in American politics. He's just perpetuating conspiracy theories he read about.

For what, exposing the DNC as corrupt? If a news media would have exposed the DNC something tells me you would be okay by that. Again, the left attacks the messenger and not the message.

Assad is arguably the best leader in the Middle East - secular as hell, has protected all peeps, protected the history and treasures of his nation.
