'll also add that if ANYONE thinks the deserter will be punished by so much as even KP and make the dear leader look bad I've got some property I'll give you a hell of a deal on.
And if he's not punished I want to hear their story. Actually, I want to hear it either way. I'm just saying that right now, it looks like these guys are going for a money grab.

Yes.

I don't see why that's a big deal? And as they partially given the story for free to news outlets, I think they really just want to make sure the true story is told.

Why would bergdahl get cut a deal by the military? F that.

This in light of the fact that it more than likely will turn into a political football and get a shite ton of spin to protect Obama, I don't blame them one bit. The fricking press were smearing these guys from the start.

I'm just telling you what it looks like. Look, I hope that motherfricker fries as much as the next guy. I just think it's best if it waits.

A draft of the book proposal, obtained by Yahoo News, asserts that Bergdahl was a “premeditated” deserter who “put all of our lives in danger.”
Unfortunately they will then produce anecdotes that fit their narrative.

Or, quite possibly anecdotes that SUPPORT their narrative.
And that would be just too bad, wouldn't it?

You sound like someone resentful of being in the military, as though it's a punishment someone should never be allowed to leave. Why did you join up? Your hatred seems to exceed the sense of duty Bergdahl violated.
Do you personally know Bowe Bergdahl? Is he not entitled to a fair trial? Wouldn't YOU be?

If there is one thing you are always taught in the military is to trust your battle buddy and never leave him behind. He violated that trust and left his team mates behind. He cost fellow soldiers their lives.

Deployed units spend every waking moment with one another. They know the guy pretty darn well. I'd trust their words over the guy trying avoid spending the a good part of the rest of his life behind jail.

Probably, but they were not in the midst of battle.

I haven't seen any convincing evidence of that.
Be that as it all may, it didn't answer my question. Geauxtigers23's hatred seems excessive to me.

I've said many times he deserves a trial. I've also said they should wait to right a book. Doesn't change the fact the guy is a traitorous count who deserted his post in combat.
I'd appreciate it if you kept that cock holster of yours shut when talking about things you know nothing about.

An infantry unit deployed to Afghanistan? are you nuts?

I think my remarks and question have been vindicated.
Aside from that, are you aware that treason means waging war against us or giving aid to the enemy? You have any good evidence of that?

This.....it just looks bad and does a disservice to anything they might be trying to accomplish. A bit like selling out their cause for a quick buck.
