The reason he media isn’t all over the motive is the same reason the left leaning posters here are not all over it:

They have the sneaking feeling that if his motives were those of a person on the right side of the political spectrum or related to Islamic terrorism, it would be out there already.

They are feeling like his motive is gonna hurt the narrative so they are fine with it being on lock down.

So you wouldn't sell Trump a gun?

In all seriousness, gun dealers are trying to sell guns not diagnose people. Even if a Mom and Pop might pay more attention the large gun stores and counters in chain stores tend to be more like Walmart in their attention to customers.

That would be Whitman, that I mentioned. Dude had a brain tumor. Do you think we wouldn't know by now if this guy had a tumor?

Any others?

According to Liberals, we should now remove everyone's brain as they may get tumor

Nobody, walmart or otherwise wants to be the retailer who sells a nutjob a gun, who then goes out and kills a bunch of folks. If you don't believe it, go find a walmart and try buying a gun while acting hinkey. Look at some of the dealers in Fast and Furious. They called the ATF because they suspected straw purchases.

Maybe there wasn't a motive. Maybe he was an old man who was tired of living and said, "frick it, I want to die, and I'm taking a bunch of people with me."

It's hard for people to grasp, but sometimes there are no profound reasons for why people do these things.

So when has that happened, ever?

The whole he won 5 million by playing video poker is BS. He laundered money using casinos. It's so obvious and the FBI thinks we're stupi

Bingo. This Wikipedia entry has a pretty explanation regarding money laundering activities at casinos:

With as calculating of a guy as Paddock seems to have been, this type of activity would have been relatively simple for him.

Why the far fetched theories about the source of his money? He made a legit $5 million selling his apartment complex in 2015, the transaction is a public record. The people researched his money history even interviewed the broker that handled the deal when he bought it in 2005. He also netted annual income form rent in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, his net rental income from the complex for 2011 was $500,000, he probably banked some of that over the course of the decade he owned the place.

Media is still reporting today that most of his money was from gambling. I read a story dateline today that made that assertion. Why report it, and continue to report it, if conflicting info is out there? Is it just pure laziness by the media, or is it the narrative someone wants pushed?

Better story narative, professional gambler fits the man of mystery persona they are pushing, ordinary real estate investor is too boring. News media never let's facts get in the way of ratings.
