Are the media truly this daft? (Re: Trump "taping" Comey)

It is absolutely laughable listening to these purported experts discuss if Trump actually has tapes of his conversations with Comey. (So what if he does. POTUS should be taping all meetings anyway for NSA purposes, but that's not the point of this thread)
How the hell do all of these experts miss the tongue in cheek reference to Trump being "wiretapped" by Obama? "Hey Comey, be careful what you leak, because I have been surveilled now for over a year. That shite is on "tapes." That's another way you can write that same tweet.
The outrage is further exposing how shallow our trusted political experts are. They are so freaking used to dealing with scripted politicians that they don't know how to interpret a normal, sarcastic human being being a normal, sarcastic human being. They take EVERYTHING so damn literally.
Trump highlights this even further by having Spicer call them out today for all of their word parsing. The synergy with that and this tweet is perfection: parsing the tweet and completely missing the joke.

Always keep in mind. A median IQ score is someone who really isn't even equipped to digest diverse information and make use of it to see a whole picture.

CNN had a legal expert on today that spent about 5 minutes explaining why there are no tapes. He said both parties must consent to a recording in D.C.
These people are clueless. Have they forgotten after only 3 months that Trump's phone calls to Mexico and Australia were RECORDED and then leaked to the press?
Have they never heard of the NSA's massive spying apparatus? The NSA don't give a shite about "two party consent" -- they have the legal authority to record everything and Trump knows it. That was Trump's entire point!

Bingo. Trump was bringing attention to the fact that he has been recorded and those recordings have been leaked. He's also pissed that Comey has stifled any investigation into these leaks. This tweet was a direct call on both of these things. Masterful!

Even the Russian judge would give you a 10 on that routine of mental gymnastics. In fact, in this case, the Russian judge would probably give you an 11.
