I quit my job in February, converted my retirement into physical silver and gold, bought a 1 year storable dried food supply, sold my suburban house and started homesteading in the most rural area I could find to buy.

So yeah lol

I pick up a box or two of Ammo when I pass by Academy. I am about to give shooting lessons to the females in the house. (I might regret that one later)

Having supplies is useless if you can’t fight back the mob.

If I could convince my wife that living free, without the trappings of convenience of modern civilization was the way to go, I would liquidate all my current holdings and go completely off grid. I’m in my early 60’s but I’m not afraid to try to establish a small community of like minded America First patriots to hold our ground.

Changed my spending habits due to the price of goods and services. Been to Walmart lately?

I used to buy liquor. Now I got a still, a rifle and a cabinet full of soup. And a good bit of Bitcoin.

I think it’s something that you can predict will occur the summer before an election with a reasonable degree of certainty. And prepare for like you would hurricane season.

You may be very near where I live. Here's a hint: I live close to a Delta hot spot now.

I would like to know how to construct a still. My brother brews beer and occasionally takes his beer to brew fest events but in more interested in distilling liquor.

Yes but getting the wife to do the same is challenging. Biggest expense is probably insurance.

Drunkest I ever got was on my Paw In Law's homebrew. A swallow would take your breath away; at least the first shot. We regret not keeping the Old Man's still.

Be careful and do diligent research. Can get sick.

Relative and assured access to basic goods and services like we have long enjoyed is going away; as the Capitalist System forced people to be responsible in order to exist. Not so with the Socialist model; the open Border is flooding the Nation with unemployable people and that alone will create massive Government spending and demand/supply issues. Relative dysfunction is inevitable; especially given the Left/Deep State's 'Saul Alinsky' "fundamental transformation" strategy.

Gold and Bitcoin won't help you when shite hits the fan. Cash, ammo, water and freez dried food will be the only thing worth a damn.

Hardest thing for her would be giving up AC. A relocation from the gulf coast would be the only way.
