Haven't heard him talk much about this lately. IMHO more effective than a wall could ever be.

If either parent is here illegally they need to GTFO.

We need both. Plus stripping Federal funds from sanctuary cities. Ditch the IRS and income tax structure for the FairTax, which would tax consumption and level the playing field for everyone who buys pretty much anything, legal or not, and I'd be a happy camper.

The kid needs to take the citizenship of the mother. Otherwise, you'd have naturalized men farming themselves out for stud.

Good point.

Totally unrelated question:

How much cabbage do you think a guy could pull in providing that service?

I'm okay with it. Limits should be, at least one parent must be a naturalized or native born citizen.

That should be job one in the "comprehensive immigration reform."

Zero chance. It requires a constitutional amendment They are too hard to get passed. Not going to happen

I'm for this, but realistically I think it's a stretch.

Like what's been posted, if we remove the incentives for many of the illegals to be here, we will minimize this issue.

On the other hand, if your parents aren't citizens, is it just happenstance they're here for your birth? It isn't. Thinking from the American side, I wouldn't want to be Mexican even if I somehow just happened to have been born there.

Hell no. I went to college with a wealthy Mexican girl whose parents rented a house for a few weeks while her mom was in labor with each of their children so they could have dual citizenship. Then promptly drove back to Mexico to continue taking advantage of their privileged position there. That's bullshite.

I think you just define what a natural born citizen is and you can get away with it.

us and Canada are the only developed countries with birthright citizenship. If this isn't on the table then I can't take the rest seriously. People can still drive over, give birth and overstay visas.
