I watch his show regularly and I don't get the impression that he's a full on Prog.

He's usually vocally pro America, and routinely takes jabs at liberal hippies and hipsters.

Not liking Trump is not evidence of being a Prog.

Anthony Bourdain, host of “Parts Unknown” on liberal CNN, said last week that he would poison Donald Trump if the celebrity chef was asked to cater a peace summit between the President and Kim Jong Un.

“Hemlock,” Bourdain simply replied when asked by TMZ what he would serve Trump and the North Korean dictator.
So totally serious.

A TMZ reporter caught him at LAX and started asking silly questions.

Wait...are you asking that we understand context? Hmmmm. I wonder why you don't give Trump that same luxury. Hack.

Watch the video. TMZ Video If I ever took Trump out of context like this thread is doing with Bourdain, please link it.

Somehow, Anthony Bourdain thinks that his early years of heroin addiction provided a good mental preparation into becoming a celebrity. "Well particularly in the world of television, there are a lot of people out there who are full of shite," said Bourdain. "When you're a junkie, you're surrounded by hustlers. You just develop a sixth sense and become a pretty good judge of character."
from: 25 things you didn't know about Anthony Bourdain

He went from junkie to hustler and now a wannabe assassin of a sitting POTUS. Show us more CNN, show us more!

He's very progressive and not afraid to voice that out as you can see

The fact that murdering the POTUS can be misconstrued as "progressivism" is exactly why they're not going to win another major election for a long, long time or at least until their party is completely gutted

Anthony Bourdain's Threat to Poison POTUS by Ham And GlassBourdain is a talented but anguished artist whose misery is rewarded by those who consume his product. There is no end to his misery. And he'll have to increase his misery to keep himself and his followers interested. Doing a show in post-Brexit London was a perfect example of this. My guess is he'd be much happier slogging around in a kitchen where he could look out into the dining room and mock the very people keeping him employed.

My money says he'll eventually be found dead in a hotel room of self-asphyxiation while masturbating. He surely fits the profile.

Above average verbal intelligence, but also neurotic and morally broken. Certainly fits a stereotype.

Yeah, it was a joke. I don't think it's anything to get worked up about.

Yes I will . If not Your Humble Pimpness, who shall kill the buzz? Mine is a higher calling and only the exploding heads of filthy, filthy Progs will satiate my appetite. No International border changes that.

These people who believe Bourdain is some sort of modern day Jack Kerouac are pathetic.

Just a junkie

He's not just a former junkie. He's a smart, talented and troubled fella. He grew up a leftist. He attended a leftist university. He's been surrounded by leftist most of his life. He interfaces with leftist all over the globe. He's empathetic, but misguided and likely clinically depressed.

That said, I can't tolerate his politics anymore. He's great when he avoids overt politics. He can't seem to help himself as of late.

I speculate due to his failed marriage that he's spinning out of control right now.

It's really sad.

Ignatius said to Jones (and potentially Bourdain)(when Jones asked how to get above the minimal wage):
"You cannot possibly realize how confused you really are. Your value judgements are all wrong. When you get to the top or wherever it is you want to go, you'll have a nervous breakdown. Go live contentedly in some hovel."

His louisiana episode was great as was no reservations in its prime. I dont believe hes rotten like olberman for instance and seems like a good guy to shoot the shite with sans politics.

He seems to be going through a rough time as things have gotten worse these past couple of years.
