You left wing 'intelligentsia' seem to be quite unable to cope with sarcasm as a means of pointing out incongruities. She doesn't like Trump softening his campaign message. big deal - The point is that conservatives really have principles based on something other than the latest jacked up poll numbers. Unlike prog/DEMs who stand for nothing other than the next election.

Anything more cerebral than holding up a bloody severed (fake) head seems to leave you slack jawed and agape with confusion. (But with the bleeding head, you could read all kinds of subtle meanings that were undetectable by us redneck illiterates from the back woods.)

Congrats on being too stupid to know how stupid you are. You'd be utterly miserable if you knew the truth.

Why are people surprised by Trump's position on these DACA people? This has always been his position. Basically Touchback Immigration with a wall and strong border security.

I argued this many many times during the primaries.

Yes, yes, it's the left that's being played.

That's the ticket!

I honestly think most centipedes would be ok with DACA as there really is no other practical solution for these people provided we get a wall or some very strong security legislation.

That being said, if the reports are true [might not be] about him not tying security funding to any DACA deal he is a one-term POTUS. Notice border security is being left out of all big legislative discussions and kicked down the road. I'm getting that sneaking feeling.....

So you really think he's going to be able to get meaningful "wins" on border security?

His negotiating sucks hard, mate. He's a goddamn pushover. I've worked with people like him before - the ones with the loudest bark at our corporate headquarters usually seem the be the quickest to tuck tail when the lights are on in the conference room.

Trump's "negotiating" strategies when he was the real estate baron seemed to be:
have your peeps short pay on invoices and then tie shite up in the court system knowing that your in-house attorneys are more cost efficient than those of smaller companies who have to outsource their legal bills. That's it. That's his "brilliance". Leverage of access to attorneys. When he's in the actual room he sucks balls at negotiating.

The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built.

I don't think his position has changed on DACA people and illegal immigrants. It's still the same as the primaries. What has changed is tone not substance.

I'd be OK with some sort of humanitarian waiver for the real DACA kids - those raised here from early childhood. But their parents have to go back, and they cannot leave the kids to be wards of the state. Either those 'dreamers' have to be old enough, and willing, to support themselves or they have to go with their parents. If they have to be supported, the parents must provide that means of support - either thru finding sponsors for them or from providing the financial backing to sustain them.

And until the progs and lilly livered GOPe and the Chamber of Commerce agreed to solid border control (wall - moat - machine gun pill boxes - I don't care the means) is ensured, then we play the "OBEY THE LAW" card and send 'em ALL back - screw who gets inconvenienced or hurt. Treat these 'dreamer' kids the same way we treat the kids of embezzlers = take away as much of the ill gotten gains as can be located - to hell with the effect it has on the kids of the embezzlers.

Well congress did allocate $1.4 billion to start construction a few months ago. They did that when they lifted the DoD sequester and gave the military an additional $54 billion.

We definitely differ on the interpretation of wall building.

This much, I can tell you.

Who wants to tell GumboPot Trump's latest statement on the wall? You know, the one about when it's going to be built...
