Great now we have an even more compelling reason to end all the drilling restrictions in the US and gulf. If gas was 2.00 a gallon and we didn't ship it in from countries that hate us this country's problems would almost go away.

The American Conservative Union gave Biden a score of like 13/100 and Obama like a 6/100, so maybe twice as good.

Wow, gas might go up. Woe is us. I wonder if we can weather the upcoming gas crisis if supply is disrupted because as we all know, Iraqi oil production has always been stable.

And which country will be most affected by the possible disruption? China, who is the largest importer of Iraqi oil. :)

I think we actually are the winners here.

“The Chinese are the biggest beneficiary of this post-Saddam oil boom in Iraq,” said Denise Natali, a Middle East expert at the National Defense University in Washington. “They need energy, and they want to get into the market.”

Good. Let the Chinese get bogged down in that quagmire.

From the oil consumers POV that would be a big negatory.

I think you're dead wrong. ISIS will overtake baghdad in a matter of weeks, if not shorter.

Might help his union pals at GM dump some of them remaining Chevy Volts.

Wow, just think if the Keystone Pipeline had gotten the OK five years ago.

I sometimes wonder if there is ANY event that could happen on the world stage that would signal lower gas prices

ISIS or whatever the Sunnis are calling themselves can probably keep the central government from exercising effective control in the north. They are not capable of invading and overtaking a hostile Shia population in the South.

Don't have the manpower to take the city from the Shias. I don't believe they even have the power to hold their current territory over the long haul.

none..prices will never be below $2 for an extended period of time. We now have an abundance of O&G but the companies choose to ship it overseas for more $$, which is what they are in business for, plus will keep their stock pricing high.

It's against the law to export US crude. Try again.

uh oh. Isis is currently launching an assault on Baghdad, and there are multiple reports of large explosions rocking the international green zone.
