Just curious, most who conceal carry do it for their protection in public. Have you ever had to protect yourself with it in public?

Hopefully no one has had to.

You pull it to shoot it only.

No. At least, technically no. I guess.

No, thank God.

I had a situation in the office that came close, but dude listened, and left. I have had my pistol in hand when being the first in the office, but doors weren’t locked and lights were on, but just as a precaution.

Never had to draw my CCW, had to draw my service weapon more than once, but thankfully never had to fire.

Yep. It was a clear black night, a clear white moon
Lil Dicky was on the streets tryin' to consume
Some skirts for the eve so I can get some phones
Rollin' in my ride, chillin' all alone

Never had to. Thankfully. Don’t want to. But I will.

Not just to protect me. To protect anyone innocent that could be hurt too.

However, just miles from my home today, a woman ran into a store screaming that someone was trying to kill her. Before anyone absorbed what was happening, a guy ran in and shot her. Just so happened a cop was in the place just getting something to eat. He returned fire, and killed the guy. If he wasn’t there... what else could have happened?

Yes I have. A guy followed me home after work one night. Probably close 2:00 am when I got home. He parked behind my car and blocked me in. I got out of my car with my gun in my hand and he took off.

I actually witnessed my Grandfather get out of his truck, in which I was riding, when I was a kid .... probably around 1960. Same identical thing you just described.

My grandfather was packing this 1911 at the time .... he always kept it with him. I'll never forget him reaching into the glove box in front of me and pulling it out and he got out of the car with clear intent. He did not hesitate. I'll never forget the image of it all. He didn't say a word, he just made his move and it was alpha as frick. He.was.not.playing.

No - I am selective about when I carry - I feel safe in my own local environment.

If I am on a trip into unfamiliar territory I carry for peace of mind.

When I first got my CC permit, I swore to myself that I would never ever 'brandish' the weapon. If I had to draw it - someone was going to get shot.

Thank God I've never had to shoot someone.
