All I'm saying is that there is nothing to fight with unless they have concealed weapons, which I'm certain are illegal on campus.
And even if they were legal, many people wouldn't be carrying so the "run, hide, fight" would still be valid

Ok, now I'm getting some more realistic options. Somehow, throwing chairs at someone who has a firearm seems absolutely comical, in a chilling way.

You miss my point. There should be an armed response to the shooter well before you have time to take advice from a tweet. Cops are stationed across every campus these days.
Obviously if you are in the area of the initial shots fight for your life

You are looking at this wrong.
If someone with a gun walks up to you and tries to shoot you, do whatever you can to stay alive. That's all they are saying. They aren't saying to walk up and tie their shoes together. Just survive.

I would think that's basic survival instinct. I don't think I would need instructions on doing that. Perhaps some do!
