This has been out there since this story began... but MSM won't say a damn word about it.
It was most likely a set up, plain and simple. Person associated with Fusion GPS lied to get the meeting, and when Kushner, Manafort and Don, Jr. found out she had no info, they shut it down.

It was a set up but there are more set ups. Dem Oppo set up more innocuous meetings with Trump people throughout the campaign. These meetings will serve as "bombshells" to be Breaking News on CNN at timed intervals all the way into the year 2020.
It's a brilliant Oppo/Info campaign against the main Dem enemy, the man who promises to MAGA: POTUS Trump.

Christopher Steele started out working for Fusion, but he ended up working with the FBI which is exactly what Trump Jr. should've done when he heard he was going to be offered campaign oppo from the Russian government.

Imagine all the outrage and self righteousness just on this board about Muh Russians. Think bout all the insults and character assasinations and nastiness just on this board. All created and executed by Prog filth for no other purpose but to create turmoil and discord. These people must know in their hearts that they are in a state of moral confusion and hurting themselves and the larger society. It's profoundly sad for them and the country that they've chosen the dark path.

It's not as if Trump encouraged the Russians to hack Clinton and praised Wikileaks. Or that he had people in his campaign with ties to Russians. Or that he put a guy in charge of National Security that hid and lied about his connections to Russia. Or that his son met with a Russian who claimed to be able to help his campaign. (Which he wasn't truthful about till more details leaked) Or that he and his staff have given numerous conflicting and contradictory information.

The Dems got caught colluding with the media and rigging the primary. They worked directly with Ukrainian foreign intelligence to smear Trump.
