"This bill would weaken Medicare's fiscal sustainability, dramatically increase health care costs for Americans aged 50-64 and put at risk the health care of millions of children and adults with disabilities, and poor seniors who depend on the Medicaid program for long-term services and supports and other benefits," said the letter, signed by Joyce A. Rogers, a senior vice president at AARP.

AARP is a fake advocate for seniors. It is really a front for selling tours, insurance policies, phones, hearing devices, retirement centers and assorted other senior-adult oriented products. It is also a de facto political arm of the DNC. It never advocates for anything or anyone that might be conservative or Republican. This latest foray into opposing the replacement health care plan is the last straw. I can't do much, but I can choose to not renew my membership with its small membership fee. I can get the same or better discounts from my AAA membership anyway. And if they go Left too, I can quit them as well.

Even though seniors were against Obamacare, AARP supported it anyway, because Obama bribed AARP to get their support. I seriously question AARP's judgment, and their ethics.

Cost increases on 60-64 are directly related to the boon Obamacare was for that single demo. "Poor" is rolling back medicaide bribery. Not sure where they get Medicare sustainability concerns, but Medicare isn't sustainable in its current form.

I have strong misgivings about GOPe health care, but if AARP is against it, there must be some good in it. AARP's support of Obama care is unforgettable and unforgivable!

Shocked by this news, just shocked the AARP would be against it. They were for Obamacare rape of Medicare, so they don't GAF about their own people, which makes this sooooo shocking...

This. About three weeks ago I go to a lady who runs a business that helps people to understand and enroll in Medicare. We got to talking about supplemental insurance and she tells me to stay away from AARP because their rates are some of the highest offered. I wonder why that is considering their penchant for older people and their needs and wants.

Well, I got to that age. 2 or 3 times a year they mail me a recruiting packet that always includes a no postage required envelope.
I mail it back to them empty. I know it's only postage, but its the little things that make life enjoyable!
