Just a question. When did the Ku Klux Klan become associated with the Republican party? The Ku Klux Klan was the militant arm of the democrat party.

It is historically accurate but the democrat and republican parties of today are not the same as the democrat and republican parties of the time the time of the founding of the KKK. I thought we'd progressed past these kinds of disingenuous talking points.
ETA: before I get attacked, it's utterly absurd to associate the repub party or Trump with the KKK
