Regarding the screenshot of the text message:

Does anyone think that if you were buying votes that you would want the full name and address of each person that you bought? You'd want records of that? And that you would put their money in separate envelopes and that you'd send a text message detailing it? Is the reverend going to text back "hundreds if not thousands" of names and addresses?

Or is it more likely that these people probably were being paid a minimal amount for working on the campaign? That maybe 10 people were being paid to go door to door, or hold up campaign signs on election day? I know its not juicy, but isn't that a much more likely scenario?

Considering the reports that the Get Out The Vote crew bringing vans of voters to the polls had notebooks where they were checking off names, I don't think they'd be using text to send the whole thing.

More likely, they'd be saying "I got X voters at these precincts. Info is in the notebooks."

The only information I've been able to find on google connected with this guy's name are the series of articles (from the usual sites) citing these allegations.

The Church in question doesn't have a web page, but does have a Facebook. Can anyone access it to find out more about the Church he claims to be an associate pastor at (I don't Facebook).

In case I'm being too coy, I'm pretty sure this is bullshite.

Oh, and he's admitting to felonies because he knows no one is going to do shite about it.

Someone coming out and pretty much admitting to multiple felonies has to be sure they wouldn't be prosecuted over it.

Granted, the Holder Justice Department is notorious for not investigating voter fraud in Mississippi if it is being done by black people because the Civil Rights Division is such a bunch of fricking hacks...

The Cochran campaign issued this statement:

"There is absolutely no truth to these baseless and false allegations," said Cochran campaign spokesman Jordan Russell. "It comes from a blogger who in the last 24 hours has accused a Mississippi public official of being responsible for an individual's death and had to retract other outlandish accusations regarding another Mississippi elected official. The author of this article admits he paid his source for this story."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kingfish:

Time to play devil's advocate. Mr. Fielder got in trouble for home repair/contractor fraud in 2006 and 2010. Minor affairs but had to get that out of the way. Sources said the so-called money in envelopes was money paid to students who were paid to wave signs and go door-to-door for the campaign. Such money has to be tracked and accounted for properly. Mr. Baird's name is also misspelled in the text messages. However, that name was probably entered into the phone by Mr. Fielder and its easy to understand how such an error could occur.

Mr. Johnson also admits he paid for the information. Thus there is the possibility Mr. Fielder is working a hustle on an out of state reporter who is willing to pay. The juicier the story..... you get the idea. However, Mr. Johnson states there are more emails corroborating his story. He said he will release them so it remains to be seen if there is more to this story. The fact remains that Mr. Fielder is willing to make these charges on the record and revealed his text messages. Stay tuned.

I don't think it's a felony to receive money, only to bribe voters with money.

News Flash: Democrats bribe black voters with cssh every year.

The sad, but true moral to this story. Never trust a preacher.

I am sure these minority precincts turned out in droves to vote for the establishment Republican without a "smidgen of corruption" taking place.

Verification purposes.

They'd want to be able to go to the voter rolls after the election and verify that everyone on the list signed in at the polls.

Once they'd verified that and everyone got paid, they'd destroy the evidence.

You guys can explain your way into believing any improbable allegation by citing Holder, the Justice Department, or the mainstream media.

Anyway, if the guy is an associate pastor at an important and historic church, there should be some more info on the web.
