Fielder, who was paid by freelance journalist Charles C. Johnson for the story, provided a new outlet launched by Johnson—GotNews.com—with four text messages from a person purporting to be Cochran campaign staffer Saleem Baird.

The messages cite an official Cochran campaign email address—Saleem@ThadForMs.com—and include detailed discussions of the campaign providing envelopes of money to distribute to people who vote.

“Send me individual names and amounts along with home address to saleem@thadforms.com and I’ll have money separated in envelopes at the office waiting for you,” one message, sent three days before the runoff, says.

Yes apparently for the Reverend, stealing votes, bribing people and breaking laws are all secondary to suspected racism?

It'll be fun watching the high-minded RINOS sully themselves with this electoral sewage. Of course, they'll pull an 'Obama'...found out about it in the morning paper. Low level rogues.

Tell me people like Cochran don't need to go. They are destroying this nation. Compromise my arse.

even worse, especially for those concerned with illegal voting practices, the liberal media will pull the "democrats don't engage in voter fraud, republicans do" meme out of their arse

What is wrong with us as a nation when we can't do the right thing in these situations? Either hold another election or disqualify Cochran for cheating.

Baird realized he had been lied to when he "took a good look at the campaign ads" and realized "McDaniel was not a racist...me and other people were misguided and misled."

this reads like an onion article

i hope this story is real just because i want THAT set of circumstances to be true

Like I said in an earlier post, even if vote buying by the Cochran campaign can be proven, what judge in Mississippi is going to enforce the law and remove Cochran?

I don't believe there is a judge in Mississippi with balls big enough to follow the law and remove Cochran. In fact, the judge will probably get a new boat or deer lease out of the deal from the Cochran campaign to keep things on the down low by essentially ignoring any laws broken by the Cochran campaign.

If this is true. This system was in place and used before for other campaigns, no way the Dems get this up and running for Cochran only.

Yeah I don't doubt this at all however very difficult to prove and fruitless if proven.

What might be playing out here is Democratic operatives encouraging the Rev to come forward with the Cochran campaign illegal activities. They probably see it as a n advantage in the general election to run against McDaniel rather than Cochran (if they can get Cochran ousted).

Very interesting angle.

This Charles Johnson kid has been throwing stuff at the wall every day and being proven wrong.

On Sunday, it was this:

Only for someone to call him on it and show a picture of Hosemann at a wedding in the Delta Saturday night. 5 hours away:
