He didn't think the cop would shoot so Brown charged forward... and he shot... and Brown still charged forward... and he shot... and Brown still charged forward... and he shot... and Brown still charged forward... and he shot... and Brown still charged forward... and he shot... and Brown still charged forward... and he shot... and Brown fell three feet from him.
And it probably happened in less time than it took to read that paragraph.

I think the only thing it proves is that he wasn't the angel some are making him out to be
anchor seems to be the rant's friend. there have been numerous posts regarding mb's criminal history. i can't validate anything, but google is my friend, and the young man seems to have a checkered past of violence!

No doubt and that's why I'm not blaming the cop. When you start shooting in self-defense, you shoot quick.

MJ is a gateway drug though, so he might very well have been on something else or either he was just stupid.
Wow, you are truly ignorant.

Yes because googling someone named Michael Brown is easy since it's such an uncommon name.

If the marijuana was taken recently, would it affect his reaction to being shot, and possibly dull him to the danger as a whole?

I've seen it with more than one person. In fact many. It doesn't do it to most but marijuana most certainly can lead to paranoia and resultant aggression.
I'm not speaking about its possible role in this case, just what I'veseen in hospitals.

And no, it absolutely would not.

I highly doubt it. Very unlikely. PCP is another story however.

Paranoia which leads to aggression, maybe in aggressive people. Your hospital sample may be skewing your perception, though.

Do you beleive everybody reacts the same to a chemical? I can take 10 Vics and be sailing ,my wife take 2 and be sick and sleeping.Hummm

I said it didn't happen in most users. But it most certainly happens in some. And, no, one does not need a history of aggression to become aggressive when paranoid. It's a rather natural reaction to the believe that you are in danger.

People prone to fight in that fight-or-flight response due to amygdala activation (stimulated by the cannabinoids binding to the endocannabinoid receptors in the amygdala), I would argue, are more aggressive people in general.
Posted on 8/19/14 at 2:42 pm to rbWarEagle
Not necessarily. I've seen it enough to recognize it as one reaction to mj. I've gotten enough collateral info from family members who report no history of violence from enough of these cases to recognize that it is a not uncommon response to mj. At some point one learns not to treat the textbook but, rather , the patient before them.
Posted on 8/19/14 at 2:49 pm to Jake88
Again, your sample is skewing your perception. That is not the norm.
Posted on 8/19/14 at 2:51 pm to rbWarEagle
Are you not paying attention? I said it wasn't the norm, rather a not uncommon event.
Posted on 8/19/14 at 3:01 pm to Jake88
If it's happening in a hospital, it's an uncommon event

Well it just shows he wasn't a sweet, innocent angel the media was trying to portray.
I think that part was pretty obvious once he threatened to punch the clerk if he didn't back down. The video revealed his character, a big dumb mean aggressive individual. I feel like I'm living in bizarro world when I hear people in the media say that the video is not relevant or that it is character assassination. He assassinated his own character.
