i think part of that is the obfuscation of real information, like the whole "Sweden doesn't track demos of crimes" stuff. when you conceal the truth (whatever that may be), you allow these sorts of things to emerge. lots of progressives don't want to admit cultural issues so they spin it in their head as they don't want to create avenues to promote negativity

it's somewhat similar to the movement to "silence" hate speech. all that does is push the outlandish bullshite to the extreme, hidden areas of society (often the internet nowadays) to where it can fester and boil over. this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy for progs which has to be an expected outcome for the people who create their narratives. but it doesn't really do anything positive overall
