Marijuana products, like joints and edibles, are available and can be smoked in designated coffeeshops (which are not to be confused with normal cafes), and people over the age of 18 are allowed to carry a personal stash of up to five grams.

They simply can't be honest. They are arguing like the left who love Sweden.

Even better than "small government conservatives" arguing in favor of big government?

Sure, but actually read the policy. And the reason it's attracted so much crime is because growing and selling sizable amounts remained heavily illegal. What a ridiculous policy. Of course organized crime stepped in and filled the demand.

What? Are you listening to yourself? Did you read what is in plain english?

Just like Uruguay. Drug lords are actually growing in power.

You are never going to produce it as cheap as they can. I ask that you demonstrate how a regulated drug in the US can compete with the cartels?

I would rather thos who want it to just say "I want to be able to get high when I want. So legalize it" than to keep up this falsehood that the drug companies can make it and sell it cheaper than cartels.

I mean, how do you have legal weed when 2/3rds of the process(growing and distribution) are illegal. It doesn't make sense and it's not what we have in WA state where the entire industry is legal.

As has already been pointed out to you, people don't smoke that shitty cartel brick weed in legal states. We're the best growers in the world now.

Yeah man you clearly need an economics 101 lesson. Economies of scale numb nuts. USA is exponentially bigger than Holland, and Holland is a shitty example anyway because weed isn't actually a fully regulated and legal drug there. Apples to oranges. We could grow high quality weed in hydro labs on such massive scales it's impossible to even fathom.

I can't understand why you're so dug in on this. I can slightly see why you have tunnel vision re: South American grow, but you have to think bigger than that. Cannibas legalization in the United States eliminates a Uraguay from even considering growth, harvest, transport, risk and ultimate sell on a black market. To do so would be as stupid as Uraguay trying to be the new RJ Reynolds of black market cigs and take on Camel.

What about the 1/3rd drivers testing positive for pot while driving?

No it doesn't. The black market weed here is local growers and shite people got at the dispensary(those are cheaper than recreational shops).

You paying employees? You paying taxes? They making a profit?

Agains, you can not out price the cartels. The cartels have no over head. Some use slave labors or paypennies on the dollar. No regulation. No taxes....

You should know better. I don't start conversations without knowledge on it.
