19 states to increase minimum wage ?

You guys should read the comments. Alot of people are blaming the red states for causing this to become the reality.

I really don't think that's fair when you consider how expensive the blue states COL has become.

Pshhhh. The Republicans have much to teach Democratic socialists about minimum wage and guaranteed incomes, as they almost universally support the idea as long as the targeted group works in an agricultural industry.

Minimum wage is a politically popular policy, with even voters in red states supporting it. Not surprising this is happening because these pols can use it as campaign talking points next cycle .

Good!

States are the incubator of ideas. Many pundits/economists suggest minimum wage should be increased. Many disagree. In this model we can see for ourselves.

Progressives favor min. Wage hikes. Liberals would favor subsidies to the poor instead of min. Wage hikes. Most democrats and many Republicans are Progressives somewhere along the spectrum.

Does anyone have a list of the states, and what they are raising it to?

So I guess they think it is OK to hold a gun to the head of a business owner and force him to agree to their terms.

I'm so glad we live in a "free" country.

They aren't giving it away. They are forcing at the point of a gun.
He either complies or men with guns come and shut him down.

Im against the idea of a minimum wage but I enjoy states utilizing their powers to win or lose citizens. If you desire low wage workers then by all means, continue to raise the wage.

Would you rather him not be working at all or would you rather he be making a living on the illegal drug trade?

Are you suggesting that raising the min wage would fix the economy?
