The south was well on the way to industrialization and Louisiana would've been the richest state in the union right now.

The way the north did Reconstruction fricked all that up though.

You are correct. It was Infantry, not Calvary. Good wikepedia catch!

Why else do you think Lincoln freed them?

He freed them to attack the south's agrarian economy.

Because of Abe Lincoln's shitstain ways, the United States of America will forever hold the tile of the only major country in the world who ended slavery though a bloody and violent civil war while everybody else ended theirs peacefully without firing a shot.

That's not something to be proud of.

Om my lord...

I admire the south. I was born in Tennessee and half of my family are southern through and through. NONE of them cling to this revisionist history.

You can be proud of your heritage while also acknowledging its flaws. Are you afraid of some dissenting opinions?

The greatest melt in American history is the south's melt after losing the Civil War.

You cannot be proud of your heritage if you deny it.

You are honoring a man who intentionally brutalized & destroyed entire towns and let his troops rape & pillage with reckless abandon? What a shitty person you are. And you're trying to say the South shouldn't be remembered because of slavery. Hypocrite.

A lot of the brave men and women who fought for the confederacy did so only to defend their homes and their land from people they felt were unjust invaders that sought to own and rule their property, their freedom and their labor.

No matter what anyone else says for the rest of time, they're heroes just for that and I salute them.

Only here were you can root and honor the enemy and then claim to be "patriotic".

This is no worse than anything Rev Wright ever said

Hmmm, founding fathers rebelled against England, I'm sure you consider them traitors.

Those loser lost a war and will forever be remembered, by the world at large and not sad CSA revivalists, as anarchist, racists, bigots, treasonous, deplorable bastards.

They deserve no honor, and only shame.

We haven't lost a war ever.
