If reggie bush doesnt have a breakout year this year, i say we trade him before everyone else realizes he is a flop! Anyone agree or disagree

I think everyone else already realizes this. The Texans don't look too stupid after all.

With his contract, people are going to look very hard at his production. If he can't become a top notch producer for Payton, then they'd have a hard time moving him.

Could you be a little more specific as to whom you're commenting?

Bush has done more for the Saints the most of you realize. Had good rookie year and was one of the main reasons why they were in the NFCCG, but was without Deuce last year and injured. It sounds like most of the tards on here expect him to get a first down or even a TD every time he touches the ball. This isn't PAC-10 football.

He might be stirring shite, but it's a legitimate issue. Reggie needs a breakout year pretty bad. It isn't like the guy hasn't worked his arse off or doesn't have the talent, but with the sweat equity he's put in & the time & money the team has put in for him, I think everyone would really like to see a higher ratio of big plays from the guy. I do think he will have some very big plays this year.

how is a guy who got 1300yds of offense his rookie season, then about 1000yds of offense his second season (12 games) a bust?

Ok, he's not an every down pounding running back. If you thought he would be you really haven't watched much of him in college.

He is however a credible weapon to use.

Hence the question. What is Reggie Bush? He is a guy that people want to see make the big score. They want to see a human highight reel. Does anyone know how many plays of over 20 yards he had last year?

I think thats the problem. People expect that but that might not be what he is in the NFL. Hell if you get 1000-1500 yds total from him a season then I think he is worth it as long as we have back that compliments him like Deuce in 06.

I always thought Reggie was an excellent back, not worth a #2, but when you think about it other than AJ Hawk or Vernon Davis, who could they have picked.

1300 yards of total offense is not a great # for a RB, especially not the highest-paid RB in the NFL

he was expected to get 1600-1800 yards a year, at a minimum

5 backs last year had 1300 yards RUSHING

17 backs last year had 1000 yards RUSHING

Can we wait for Reggie's 3rd season to play out before we throw him under the bus?

The Saints had a shite ton of problems last year, not just Reggie.

The dude is a unique talent, you can't really question his physical abilities. Is he going to be Gale Sayers? Probably not, but that doesn't mean that he won't be an invaluable asset to this team's offense.

God some of you people are ridiculous...
