re: LSU dorms

Pentagon rocked in 1986. Loved it there.

Still in touch with one of my suite mates.

re: LSU dorms

The Lavilles (honors) have the biggest rooms on campus, are in the best location (close to houses, rec, and union), and there are very little distractions. It's quiet and easy to get work done there. You have your own sink, which is a HUGE plus. There are tons of strange people but you won't be there often and you'll be meeting people through the fraternity anyways. I would suggest living here if you can.

If you can't live there, then Graham is by far the nicest on campus, but it's only for business and engineering students. You share a bathroom with one other room. It's also far away from houses and the rec.

Herget is the freshman residential college. It's great for meeting people, but all the ugly girls live there... the good looking ones are next door in Miller. The rooms are tiny also.

The Pentagon is the most laid back in terms of lack of supervision from RA's. Rooms are decent, but they're far away from houses and the rec.

McVoy is a melting pot of all races. It's trash. Just avoid it.

Then there's the ones in the horseshoe but that's mostly poor upperclassmen still living on campus. Great location but not many freshman around.

Don't expect anything great out of LSU's dorms. With the exception of Graham and maybe West Laville (if renovated), the dorms are old and pretty dirty.

The better option than all of this is to just get a damn apt. off campus.

They tore Graham down....

Pentagon is the best with respect to having a good time, and he'd be right by the cafeteria and mini-mart (a plus freshmen year). Honors college was described above, less of a "fun crowd" over there but the nicest rooms.

the business and residential college that was recently built is named Graham now.

reminds me of another thing. Check on the status of cafeterias around campus. I'm pretty sure the Pentagon dining hall is about to get renovated or it will be so it may not be open when you get to LSU. Also, the Laville one (close to Lavilles, McVoy, Herget, Blake, Miller, the horseshoe) they just opened up is very nice and it has a taco bell/pizza hut.

pentagon is not the name of the dorm, there are five dorms that form a pentagon. one of them is Jackson I think, not really sure about the others

Beauregard is one of them, LeJeune is one of them, and Taylor is one of them.

You people are dumb if no one said Broussard. The second nicest behind Graham, biggest rooms on campus, WITH carpet and sink in room. I stayed there last year and it was fricking awesome. The only thing you ahve to do to stay in it is take ISDS and thats about as easy as it gets.

re: LSU dorms

hey, i'm going to live in herget. It is very small. I would suggest living in Acadian. It was very spacious, and it had a sink. Acadian is closer to the dining hall, but herget is closer to the rec. Herget is in the middle of both so that's why i chose herget

class of 12
