I'm outta touch...what's the dress-casual style these days for the middle-aged, married man going out on the town?

The Golfer Look??

The Untucked Tommy Bahama Look? The Expensive Tee with a Jacket?

The A-Rod Look?

The Euro Look??

The Gayman Look??

if you can pull it off, the A Rod look is probably your best bet. Just don't go overboard on anything and you're fine. Style is about being yourself while being comfortable.

I think standard dress includes a hanes v-neck and a pair of all white rebocks.

at my age style is about getting just a bit of attention from the ladies to make your wife work a little harder in the bedroom to keep you satisfied...(or at least that's what I keep telling myself)

what's your price range?

A couple good oxford shirts (a good white one is a staple), a few pairs of nice jeans and maybe some sweaters are a good start.

Just remember to get the fit right, never to loose, not too tight but snug. You can wear most anything if it fits right.

No more Tommy Bahama print shirts; one more trip to the Magic Kingdom or Jazz Fest you stop, you look around and every fat man over 40 is sporting a Hawaian shirt from Stein-Mart.

If you're thin, do a polo style shirts with interesting insignia (cue the Daaa Daa Daaa Da!) link. A little heavier, perhaps a 'fishing' shirt, but no big bass or redfish unless you really do fish regularly.

Khaki shorts are good.

As aforeposted, comfort is most important.

For me, it's simple and classic. Golfer look or polo and shorts.

if you're really interested pick up a couple issues of GQ and Esquire. Ditch the shite that's way too fashion forward (gay) and pay attention to the advice offered for everyday dress. There's some good stuff in there.

Ashworth shirt

I'm a huge Ashworth fan...however, I'm really not into the new "weather-tech" fabrics, the soft cotton was nice.
