Peeps are saying on a couple of sites stuff going on tonight in NY. I have no idea

Some saying Miles....others Ferentz. I just wish it would get done. If we get Ferentz I will be a sad Wolverine.

Butch Davis might have upside....I could see him getting some hussle out of our kids. He is about only one I would want....maybe Schiano/Petterson if not Miles. Take Cowher over Miles.

Wha?

If this is even remotely true, we will have a total meltdown on this board and across the media/college football landscape. If Saban was called a liar, could you imagine what Les would be called?

His only hope would be to trumpet that there had been no conversations and no deal had been proposed. The Michigan AD would really have to take the fall for this in a major way for Miles to not come out of this looking like a total liar, if this is all true.

I find it hard to believe, but I guess that anything can happen. We shall see.

It is out about him not getting called back. Folks are upset. If Martin screws this up I could see him being fired. MSC also.

We are tired of being taken as not caring. Michigan FB means a lot to many folks, and the University receives a ton of money from sales/donations due to our love...and has for a long time.

I am glad Dierdorf and others are speaking up. The heat is on.

I have no clue at this point.

Everything I see shows Carr/MSC trying their best to get Ferentz even though it seems everyone else wants miles.

Simply nutz....bet we end up with ferentz

The one thing that I think I can be positive about Miles is his integrity.
I wouldn't blame him for going home, but it all needs to wait until Jan 9th. If Michigan loses a few recruits due to the fact that they have to wait so late to get their man, so be it. Thats the price of having a retiring coach, and the new coach that you want being tied up.

The guy that wrote that article pretty much admits in the article itself that he's pulling a lot of it out of his arse.

Doesn't ring true at all - Skip threatening to not let Miles coach the SECCG? Pelini coaching the SECCG? Michigan AD going sailing and being out of phone call range?

All in all it sounds like some wishful thinking from the Maize and Blue mixed in with some colorful ideas's of Louisiana politics, etc.

It takes an idiot to think Bertman stronghanded Miles. On what basis could he deny the HC, who is Miles, the opportunity to coach the game? Miles made his own decision to stay. All of htis other stuff doesn;t even make good soap opera.

On Monday he was on several shows and in this my maize and blue glasses opinion he was almost begging Michigan to talk with him. Both times he did interviews he was asked about the Michigan job and both times he said I WAS NEVER OFFERED THE MICHIGAN JOB AND I HAVEN'T TALKED TO BILL MARTIN DIRECTLY ABOUT THE So again there seemed to be hope again that a deal might be able to happen

If you look hard enough and think hard enough you can find anything you want, but to think THOSE comments are miles asking for MI to call him are ridiculous.

All of this stuff needs to be put in "The Ultimate Chicken Little" thread.

I just do not believe the part in that article that LSU gave Miles an ultimatum to make a decision before the game and say that if he said no, that Pelini would coach the game. I don't think we'd do anything to take his attention away from the game....and if he really, really wants to go to Mich. I'd rather have him leave. I don't want him to sit around BR and pine.

I do and I think it was brilliant on Skip's part. Do everything to keep your guy.
