It is OVER people. Let it go now.

quote:

"We asked LSU for permission to talk to Les Miles last week and we were given permission to talk to Les but not until after the SEC championship game on Saturday," Martin said in a statement. "Les Miles was one of our candidates.

"I did not talk to Les Miles or his agent this past week in accordance with the wishes of [LSU athletic director] Skip Bertman and the LSU Athletic Department," Martin said. "This morning I did speak with Les' agent [George Bass] and he reaffirmed what Les said during his press conference yesterday -- that he was staying at LSU.

"We wish Les and the LSU Athletic Department the best of luck in the future," Martin said. "As for Michigan, we are continuing with the process we established and will continue to talk with and research our list of candidates."

Yeah, but he said he would be the LSU coach NEXT YEAR, and everyone knows he really just means in the bowl game.

For most idiots it will not be "over" until UM hires a new coach not named Les Miles.

Your word idiots refers to many people. Almost everyone in the media is saying it is not over.

I won't believe anything until he signs the dotted line for either school. He may also be using us for bargaining chip everyone just relax until after the big one we'll know for sure on the 8th.

Contracts should be written on toilet paper now, so I am not sure if that really matters either. I dont think a signature even matters.

why would he sign the contract extension here now ?? if he wins the NC game, per his contract, he gets an automatic raise to close to $3.5 million a year ...
