why would he sign the contract extension here now ?? if he wins the NC game, per his contract, he gets an automatic raise to close to $3.5 million a year ...

Or, he could just sign an extension for that much, regardless of who wins on Jan 7th.

dude .. there's three sides to every story .. his side .. her side .. and the truth .. no one needs to be jumping up and down right now and pointing fingers ... this shite was split down the middle last week and there were going to be people right and people that were wrong relative to sources ... it's a PR statement issued by an athletic department ...

it'll be interesting to see if les signs it or not .. he is a gambler by nature .. you know that bertman's dollar offer is lower than what he'd have to be guaranteed if he wins the game .. does les leave it on the table and roll the dice that he wins ??

He agreed to a contract that none of us knows anything about. The clause might be in the new contract, right?

do you think he could still leave?

after what Saban did, I would not rule anything out. I mean really, he could said he will not coach at UM. That would prove he will be loyal at LSU.

i would think it would be a flat contract offer on Bertman's end without the clause .. although .. last friday he might have put it in there since it didn't look like we had a rat's chance in hell of playing for the title .. so you have a good point ..

the clause is still there fellas...I will say that when they agreed upon the extension before the SECCG, it limited the downside...The new number was a good number but if he won which he did he gets the original clause and if he wins natl champ he will get that number (even more)

trust me ;)

You've been right so far. BTW, ask your source who will be the next coach in Ann Arbor
