I don't get it either. I personally don't get the attraction to someone even slightly younger, so I definitely don't get the attraction to a 15-year-old. But if you really have to get it in with a young dude, is 18 not young enough for you?
I feel the same way about this continually happening with teachers as I do about the abuse of power continuously happening with cops. At this point, we are a few years in to this being a near daily news story. If you're tempted to do something wrong and seeing someone new getting busted for it every. single. day., why the hell would you go through with it?

Knew of a teacher here in jackson who was busted and is now in prison for a while.
Found out later her mom died when she was 11 or 12 and her friends in high school said that mentally she quit developing and she was always kind of childish in her head. Not childish in terms of throwing temper tantrums but just never mentally grew much further past that age. She was a sub.

Back when I taught high school, they fired a gal teacher for behavior that was pretty much spot-on to that description - trying to be the "it girl" in the high school clique. She was buying them beer, letting them hang out at her pad, letting them leave during lunch. I'm pretty sure some 16yo kid got some slices out of her, but it was never made public.
