Couldn't have said it better. Harris might have Jennings beat on pure talent, but no one on this board can say much else than that. Jennings knows the plays, works his arse off, and is a team motivator. I hope Harris matures this off-season and lives up to the expectations, but he hasn't yet. I don't care who starts as long as each is given a fair shot at the starting position. I expect this competition to continue all summer and probably into the first few games.

Yes, Auburn was a train wreck for Harris, but AJ didn't light it up either. Just one of those days where nothing went right.
But you shouldn't take that one game and quarantine Harris the rest of the season. Harris looked very good the other times he played, and looked MUCH better than Jennings during 2014 spring game.

Harris is better. Jennings has a year ahead of him and still looks as bad as he did in his first bowl game. It is time to cut our losses and fully focus on Harris. People who say Harris has not surpass Jennings are missing the forest for the trees. The whole point is that if Jennings was any good Harris would not even be a threat to taking his starting role. If they are both so close just play them both and utilize both strengths. Harris can give you some read option runs

That's one way of looking at it.
Another way (my way) of looking at it is if Harris was performing to his full ability none of us would be having these competition debates, because there would be no competition.
I'm concerned that Harris has not completely left AJ in the dust by now. And I'm concerned with how he will react when he's finally handed the reigns and doesn't have to compete for the job anymore. Will he treat landing the starting QB gig as the starting point or the finish line? No one knows the answer to these questions.

Our only shot at a NC this year is to let Harris fly and relegate Jennings to backup now. We've all seen enough. I'm really disappointed that Les hasn't stepped up and declared this already. So I'm convinced he is conflicted with what is obvious and what he may have promised Jennings thinking there was just no way in hell a QB could have played as badly as he did last year. It was a total shock to everyone, I think.
We can't do any worse with Harris but certainly won't do any better with Jennings.

He sucked. Harris Sucked too, but Jennings sucked. It isn't like he went out there and blew the doors off. he sucked just slightly less than Harris.
No look at games where Jennings played well and tell me Harris couldn't have done that. He makes throws to wide open Dural, or runs on a weak as frick A&M. but he rarely accounts for 200 yards a game. thats combined showering and rushing.
Harris has 28% of the yards, 54% of the TDs on 19% of the passing attempts.

Literally what have you seen from Jennings that makes you think he is better?
IMO, anyone who knows football could watch the Spring game and come away with the conclusion that Harris is the better QB.
He is quicker to make decisions, gets the ball away quicker, hits the WR in stride more often, makes positive yards on a broken play more often, and the running game seems more efficient when Harris is behind center.
Don't know what Les knows but its his team.

I agree...I was at the game and I dont think there is any question who played better. I really don't understand this notion that Harris hasn't seperated himself. Jennings is in his 3rd year, played in a couple of bowls and started all last year and HE hasn't seperated himself from Harris who Miles said at the end of last year throws it harder and is faster. I don't believe Jennings has a total grasp of the playbook either because if you watched much last year it wasn't like we were running a whole lot of different stuff. I think if your objective this isn't hard to figure out.
